Frequently Asked Questions

Images Concepts engages in environmentally friendly print practices which tiles non-toxic vegetable/soy inks, and the highest quality recycled/post-consumer-waste papers. Our dedication to provide the best green and environmental printing services and products is demonstrated in everything we do.

PRACTICES

We utilize recycled paper for printing. Almost all of our paper waste is recycled into top-notch quality paper stock for all your printing needs, including business card printing, catalog printing, brochure printing, and even greeting card and postcard printing. Most of our printed products are composed of top quality recycled paper printing stocks.

Our soy-based inks are kind to our environment, emitting fewer volatile organic compounds than traditional petroleum-based inks. Who knew discount printing could be so environmentally friendly and affordable?

Image Concepts is offers a fully comprehensive solution for alcohol-free printing that incorporates coordinated machine components, consultancy services and saphira consumables that results in alcohol free components in our printing process.

OTHER QUESTIONS

Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are gases emitted from certain solids or liquids, such as paint and paint strippers, cleaning supplies, pesticides, building materials, furnishings, copiers and printers, adhesives, permanent markers and photographic solutions.

Image Concepts, like other large printing facilities, generates tons of paper waste, or scrap paper, each year. Printer's waste comes in two forms: printed (post-consumer) or unprinted (pre-consumer). The waste we collect at Image Concepts comes from trimmings (also called guillotine waste), overprinting, and rejected printing projects.

After you recycle your magazines and newspapers, the ink, filler and coatings must be removed before it is recycled into useable paper. This is called de-inked consumer waste. As you can imagine, using non-toxic inks is valuable in the recycling process as well as the printing process.
